FEMME FRIDAY // Christine Dionese
With the theme of pleasure leading the way, there is no better time than to introduce you to my friend Christine Dionese. Christine always surprises me with her well informed, spot on, insight into all things female + wellness. She describes herself as scientific, but she offers something much more than that. When I reach out to Christine for her guidance, I almost feel like I'm talking to my mom (this is a good thing). She has this intelligent comfort because her opinions are well researched, and backed up by science. You don't just feel like your hearing something regurgitated from WebMD or any other book or blog. She is knowledgeable and deeply practical.
I remember sitting over a glass of wine with her once and she said, "Having this glass of wine and enjoying it can be so much less inflammatory than stressing your body out with too intense a workout or stressfully eating a healthy meal." Boom. My kind of girl.
Her latest project - Flavor ID - is a genius food therapy concept that takes a look at our genetic wellness and constitution type to personally optimize your healthiest eating plan. In this sense, the food you eat is as unique as you are. Taking into consideration the importance of comfort, traditions, and healthy aspects of the foods we love that may or may not fall into the category of 'healthy'.
I absolutely love what she stands for, and am so grateful to have her as a resource!
Thank you Christine, and be sure to follow @flavorid and @christinedionse for a glimpse into her beautiful world of wellness!

Your 3 Word Bio
{I’m} scientific, {am a} concoctionist and lover
One thing the internet doesn't know about you?
Unless you have become one of my patients/clients, you wouldn’t know that I prescribe masturbation as one of my top three anti-anxiety therapeutics (it also moves qi, invigorates the blood, lowers blood pressure, balances neurotransmitters, helps PMS and period cramps and helps people calm ze eff down in general).
The can't live without it daily ritual that keeps you inspired?
Morning snuggles with my mini, Milan, and a 15 minute crystal facial where I listen to meditative nature sounds. I started doing this about six months ago and it has done wonders to balance my mood and sense of personal peace.
What is in your desert island cosmetic bag, and how do you use it?
Bicarbonate. One of the best and easiest ways to settle the stomach in a pinch. You can treat a sunburn from the inside out with bicarbonate as well.
Sovereign Silver Colloidal Silver. You can use the liquid in any orifice (yes, you really can) for all of your microbial concerns and cosmetically, it will heal any wound a thousand times better than synthetic antibiotic topicals.
Tweezers. What can I say, I’m Italian and I really enjoy looking like a woman, so yes, tweezers. I could probably use tweezers for many medical and health needs as well!
And since we are on an island... what's your favorite way to use coconut?
Once I get into it, I use all of it since it contains lauric acid to protect the immune system (lauric acid = antimicrobial). Drink it, roast the flesh for “smores”, eat the flesh to stay cool, mash the flesh to use as body and hair lotion and facial skin rejuvenation… cut little slices and wrap it between my toes to keep them moisturized for an island pedicure!
What impression do you want to leave?
That I was a fun and endlessly loving mother and that I helped people around me feel comfortable in their own skin and empowered them to be/become their happiest versions of themselves.
