FEMME FRIDAY // Brooke Rewa

Brooke Rewa is an unassuming powerhouse of wellness and culinary innovation. Just when you thought that LA might not need another cold pressed juice bar, Brooke came in with Made With Love Wellness (formerly known as Renew Juice) , and created a product that is far superior in taste and quality to almost anything out there.

She lives and breathes clean living and it shines through everything she does.

What is truly setting her apart is her commitment to bring clean alternative milks to coffee shops with her brand  MYLK. What is better than a perfectly frothed latte made with fresh almond milk? Not much, and if you haven't had one you are missing out.

Almond, soy, and coconut milks are now ubiquitous in almost all coffee chains, but most of these milks are full of fillers, sugar, and additives (and they don't taste good)! Educating the consumer that non-dairy milks can taste amazing and should absolutely be healthy is a job, but once baristas and consumers taste the difference they'll be sold. Progressive chains like Blue Bottle and La Colombe already get it and use her product.

If you live in Los Angeles and haven't tried her MYLK, or if you know you love it - come to a Plant Based Latte Art throw down next Friday (June 15th) 7-11pm at Alana's Coffee in Mar Vista. You're Invited!

Thank you Brooke for your amazing products!

xx

Your 3 Word Bio:

Real Food Activist

One thing the internet doesn't know about you?

I had my two front teeth knocked out when I fell off a stool at age 2 and didn't get them back until I was 9! Thankful Social Media wasn't a thing back then - not my best look.

The can't live without it daily ritual that keeps you inspired?

Warm Matcha Mylk latte with all my favorite superfoods and adaptogens added in.

What is in your desert island cosmetic bag, and how do you use it?

Easy! I have a few products I don't go a day without and feel very strongly about.
My Matcha stick: Lips and under the eyes. Super protective and hydrating.

MWL Rose Water: Hydrating, refreshing, balancing. Plus it smells great in case any mermen stumble upon my island!

Nucifera: Love the newer small jars and take mine with me everywhere!  The product is so versatile. I use it on the wrinkle prone areas of my face, it saves my hands when they're super dry and I've been using it to help get rid of some sun spots on my chest.

And since we are on an island... what's your favorite way to use coconut?

All and any uses of coconut are my favorite, i'm obsessed.  Face, hair, body, oil pulling.  Most of all, eating it!

TOP 3 books everyone needs to read while they are there.

Through The Looking Glass: Lewis Carroll
The Book of Joy : The Dalai Lama and Desmond Tutu
Purple Cow: Seth Godin

What impression do you want to leave?

I hope I can inspire others to be kind, bold and above all loving.
